The Muster Point Project (TMPP) is the work of Kevin Franco, a singer/songwriter who splits his time between his home in Calgary, Canada and his home away from home in Santiago, Chile. Kevin has played guitar for over 40 years and once jammed with the legendary Albert Collins (backstage and unplugged, but still!). For a brief time in the late 80’s, he played in a band covering Judas Priest, AC/DC, Scorpions and a few others. His musical influences are varied, giving way to experiment with different mixes of instruments; accordion, quena, cello, mandolin, horns, ukulele, sikus and various percussion instruments. Kevin plays most of the instruments himself, but does work with professional studio musicians when he gets in over his head, or when he needs something very specialized or specific that he can’t play himself. Kevin writes personal songs about his many lived experiences, you’ll often see him in airports or bike paths when he’s not in the studio writing new music. With a career mostly in the creative arts with plenty of exploration and experimentation, Kevin eventually founded a company that was one of the pioneers in transmedia storytelling, working with novelists, musicians, actors and social media influencers, creating one of the best story experiences of its day, called One Child. At the 2011 Digital Book Awards in NYC, his project, self-published One Child lost to Jay-Z and his book entitled DeCoded, published by Random House, for Best Transmedia Project. Not bad for some little publishing project out of Calgary, eh?TM
